“Time and time again, leading analysts from respected organizations such as Gartner and The 451 Group have stated that the key step to running an efficient data center is measurement,” said Craig Compiano, CEO of Modius. “Modius’ ability to unify both facilities and IT data makes it easier for data center managers to view trouble spots and take immediate action - as well as break down barriers between the IT and facilities department.”
From a single console, Modius’ OpenData platform displays in real-time comprehensive power and environmental intelligence from a distributed network of facilities - including data centers, server closets, call centers and mechanical yards. Using these metrics, data center leaders have the ability to anticipate and plan for numerous data center events that will enable them to reduce data center energy consumption. The system can be installed either locally within the enterprise network or remotely with the database and server application hosted in a cloud-based configuration for easier service management.
Modius will provide attendees of Data Center World with a live demonstration of OpenData v3.4 using data from multi-site data centers. The demo can be viewed at booth #528.
Last month, Modius and Nimsoft announced a partnership to provide enterprises with integrated management of IT infrastructure and facilities. The partnership will allow unified monitoring of IT infrastructure and facilities, giving enterprises shared visibility into their IT power and cooling equipment.
